Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
From our gardens, new trees and shrubs to refreshed Rules, a new Owner's Package, a website to improve communication, a well attended summer BBQ and not forgetting our investment gains, Dcc100 community has had a fabulous 2025. Thank you for your part in making this a great place to live.
Holiday Parking Reminder:
This is the time of year when many residents have guests who may need to park in the Visitor lots, so if you have not yet read the Eastway Parking reminder, the Board would like to reiterate it here:
If an owner has a guest parking in the visitor lot for more than three (3) consecutive nights, the owner must send an
email identifying the vehicle and licence plate to the Property Manager (heather@eastwaymangement.com) and
copy the Board (dcc100board@gmail.com). Failure to do so may result in the ticketing and/or towing of the guest vehicle.
Thank you for adhering to this rule and to make sure all vehicles are removed from the Visitor lots in time for snow removal.
Its Snowing!
It is inevitable. Board members distributed containers of de-icer to all residents' front porches on Saturday Nov. 8th. Please use this for your porches, driveways and the sidewalk in front of your house when necessary. Heyes' Landscaping and Snow removal will be on site once snow reaches 2 inches in depth. While Heyes does remove sidewalk snow and de-ices, it is the responsibility of all homeowners to maintain an ice free sidewalk to protect yourself (and the Corporation- ie. all of us) from liability.
Annual General Meeting:
The 2025 AGM took place on Monday October 27th at the Uxbridge Arena Meeting Hall, 291 Brock St. W Uxbridge. Minutes will be posted on the AGM page once ready.
Tree Project:
Thank you to Sharon Kennedy of the Board for once again taking on the Tree planting Project. Sharon sourced a variety of deciduous trees and 40 cedars to strategically and economically replace some privacy and greenery to areas of the property that lost both with recent cutting and removal of mature trees after the most recent storm.
We are hoping to plant a few more cedars and bushes this fall.
Garden Club :
Thanks to all the hard work the Garden club volunteers have put in over summer and fall! We began with a cold and wet spring and although we had ice storm mulch waiting for the gardens since April, we didn't get our gardens planted and mulched until the 2nd week of June.
The garden at the corner of South Balsam and Adam's court received a full over-haul this year after the 30 year old Junipers were removed last fall.
